Located within Canterbury Cathedral in Kent is the Warrior's Chapel. There is a memorial stained glass window in the Warrior's Chapel and it was dedicated to Colonel George Brockman by the officers, non-commissioned officer's and privates of the East Kent Militia. There are two brass plaques on the wall next to the memorial window explaining this. Colonel George Drake Brockman was a regular soldier with the 85th Foot, 2nd King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) and he was also Colonel and Commanding Officer of the East Kent Militia for 13 years.
